I offer 15-minute phone consultations free of charge in order to address all your unanswered questions about the therapeutic process and my therapeutic approach. For your convenience, I have listed below some of the most common questions I get. Please reach us at info@blaccenter.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No, I do not currently offer in-person sessions within my practice. As a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, I am certified and credentialed to provide the same ethical and professional standards of care and professional practice that are required when providing in-person psychological services.
The number of sessions and frequency of therapy will depend on your individual goals. During your first session we will openly discuss what works for your schedule and set realistic expectations for your therapy journey.
No, my practice strives to promote inclusivity while priotizing the voices of marginalized identities, abilities, and bodies.
No, I currently only accept self-pay clients. I accept payments directly following your session. Payments are processed through the online payment system using debit/credit/HSA/FSA card information. If you have special financial circumstances and can not afford the full rate, there are limited slots for reduced fees. Let’s talk more if this is a concern.
In case of an emergency, please contact the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988 or go to the nearest emergency room. They are available free of charge via call or chat.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
